What to expect
This year's Gloucester Goes Retro event is going to be bigger and better than ever.
​
Each of Gloucester's Gate Streets is themed to reflect a different era. Our businesses get involved by window dressing and dressing up in the era of their street which brings the city to life in glorious technicolour!

500+ classic cars and vintage vehicles grace the whole centre of the city. The Docks has classic boats, activities and stalls. Kings Square and Mariners Square will have live music and street food, bars and places to buy hot drinks. Some of our key attractions like The Folk of Gloucester and the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum are also doing their own Retro events, which are all free to enjoy.

Accessibility
The city centre of Gloucester is pedestrianised and since the renovation of Kings Square, you can now cross the entire centre step-free. Blue Badge holders can park free of charge for up to 3 hours in all council car parks.
If you need to rest, there are numerous benches and seating areas across the city centre. If you need assistance, please look for our helpful volunteers who'll be around the festival wearing hi-vis jackets.

There are accessible toilets in Eastgate Shopping Centre and Kings Walk (this is also a Changing Places facility), as well as Gloucester Quays.

Most attractions during Gloucester Goes Retro are fully accessible, but please take care when it comes to those attractions in The Docks. Getting on and off boats may require additional assistance, so please ask a volunteer if you need to.
Toilets
There are public toilets available in Eastgate Shopping Centre and Kings Walk in the city centre, and Gloucester Quays and the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum in the Docks. These all provide accessible facilities.
There are temporary event toilets also located in the Docks.
Many attractions, retailers, pubs and restaurants will be open during the festival, where you may also find other facilities.
