Gloucester Goes Retro is coming back on Saturday 24 August 2024.

​

One of the highlights of the city’s vibrant festival calendar, Gloucester Goes Retro features over 500 classic vehicles filling the historic Gate Streets and Gloucester Docks. You will find famous car brands from yesteryear including Aston Martin, Jensen, Bentley, Triumph, Morris and Alvis to name just a few. Incredible vehicles from the 1900s through the Roaring Twenties and the War Years to the gleaming chrome of the fifties, the iconic designs of the Swinging Sixties, sports cars from the eighties and an instant nostalgia hit from nineties classics.​

For music and dance enthusiasts, visit the Mariners Square Stage where you'll be serenaded by a host of retro acts and get your boogie on with swing dancing.​ Kings Square will be hosting vintage clothes and antique stalls, a Motown funk-loving disco and a 7hr Scalextric competition hosted by The Commentators.

Go and join the National Waterways Museum Gloucester for a day of nautical retro fun. Book a vintage boat trip on their historic little ship Queen Boadicea II or have a go at canoeing and kayaking on the water and view the amazing Gloucester Docks from a new perspective. You can also step back in time and take part in their ‘Picnics and Pleasure Boats’ trail around the museum.

Iconic 124 year old schooner, Kathleen & May, will be open to the public from 11:00 - 17:00! Step aboard for self-guided tours, take a seat in the Captain's Cabin, try out the crew bunks, and learn about her past, present and future!
